Smothered Oysters

600ml oysters

1 tbsp. butter

½ tsp. white pepper

1 tsp. salt

Few grains cayenne pepper

  • Put butter in covered saucepan with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.

  • When hot, add oysters.

  • Cover closely, and shake the pan to keep oysters from sticking.

  • Cook 2-3 minutes, or until plump

  • Serve on toasted crackers.
